Terms & Conditions - Extended Warranty
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) for extended warranty form the entire understanding between the undersigned customer (“the Customer”) and SureCover L.L.C – FZ, and shall only be effective post the acceptance of the Terms by the Customer. The Terms are as follows:
- 1.
These Terms are applicable to iPhones only (“Eligible Product”). The Customer agrees and acknowledges that the Customer shall not have the right to include any other product to be covered under these Terms.
- 2.
In order to avail the benefit of these Terms, the Customer will be required to avail the Extended Warranty within 60 Days (sixty days) from the date of the purchase of the Eligible Product. The Customer will be required to visit https://sure-cover.com/ (“the Portal”), and fill in the details as required in the form specified in the Portal.
- 3.
The Customer agrees that the maximum amount for which the Extended Warranty applies shall be USD 700 (“Maximum Amount”). For the sake of clarity, the Maximum Amount means the maximum amount to which the repair with respect to the damages will be covered. For instance, if the repair work entails a cost of USD 900 (USD Nine Hundred) then the work till the Maximum Amount will covered, the balance amount shall be payable.

In the event, the Covered Product under the Plan is replaced directly by the original manufacturer due to the original manufacturer’s recall, you must submit to SureCover L.L.C – FZ the original manufacturer’s delivery receipt and serial number of the new product within thirty (30) days of the replacement.
- 5.
Carry In Extended Warranty Repair Services
- 5.1.
If during the Coverage Period, you submit a valid claim by visiting the SureCover L.L.C – FZ Authorized Service Center that a defects in material and workmanship happened on your Covered Product, SureCover L.L.C – FZ will either (a) repair the Covered Product, using new or refurbished parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (b) exchange the Covered Product with a replacement product that is new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability, and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product. If SureCover L.L.C – FZ exchanges the Covered Product, the title to the original product shall be transferred to SureCover L.L.C – FZ and the replacement product shall be your property and the coverage of the Plan shall be terminated immediately.
- 5.2.
You are required to consult your Covered Product’s original manufacturer for any technical support to determine if the failure to operate is due to circumstances that may be corrected by yourself. If the nature of the defect is not covered by the Plan, you will be charged for the cost of the service repair. A diagnostic service fee will be charged if you decide not to proceed with the service repair or when a defect is found. The OEM’s published guidelines include but are not limited to information contained in technical specifications, user manuals and service communications.
- 5.1.

Back Up The Software And Data Residing On The Covered Product. SureCover L.L.C – FZ, The Authorised Service Center And Or Its’ Appointed Service Center May Reinstall The Covered Product’s Original Software Configuration And Subsequent Update Releases While Performing Service, Which Will Result In The Deletion Of All Software And Data That Resided On The Covered Product Prior To Service. During Service, SureCover L.L.C – FZ, The Authorised Service Center And Or Its’ Appointed Service Center Will Delete The Contents Of The Covered Product And Reformat The Storage Media. SureCover L.L.C – FZ Will Return Your Covered Product As The Covered Product Was Originally Configured, Subject To Applicable Updates. SureCover L.L.C – FZ May Install Os Updates As Part Of Service. Third Party Applications Installed On The Covered Product May Not Be Compatible Or Work With The Covered Product Because Of the OS Update. You Will Be Responsible For Reinstalling All Other Software Programs, Data And Passwords.
- 7.
Limitation of liability
- 7.1.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SureCover L.L.C – FZ and its employees and agents and its appointed service center will under no circumstances be liable to you for any direct or indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to any loss incurred due to any delay in rendering any services related to the plan and/or loss of use during the period that your covered product is undergoing the service at the authorised service center and/or awaiting for the replacement parts for the covered product, costs of recovering, reprogramming, or reproducing any program or data or the failure to maintain the confidentiality of data, any loss of business, profits, revenue or anticipated savings, resulting from SureCover L.L.C – FZ’s obligations under this plan. to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the limit of SureCover L.L.C – FZ and its employees and agent’s liability to you arising under the plan shall not exceed the original price paid for the plan. SureCover L.L.C – FZ specifically does not warrant that (i) it will be able to repair or replace the covered product without risk to or loss of programs or data, (ii) it will maintain the confidentiality of data, or (iii) that the operation of the product will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- 7.2.
SureCover L.L.C – FZ at its sole discretion, may replace your covered product with one of a like kind and quality if the covered product is not repairable due to the part becoming obsolete or beyond economic repair. Due to technological advances, the replacement product may be of lower retail value than the original covered product. replacement parts will be original or third-party original equipment manufacturer’s parts that perform to factory specifications of the covered product and shall be determined at SureCover L.L.C – FZ sole discretion. faulty parts and/or devices must be returned and become the property of SureCover L.L.C – FZ. any such replacement will immediately terminate the plan.
- 7.1.
- 8.
The Extended Warranty shall not apply in the following conditions (“Exclusions”)
- 8.1.
If the damage to the Eligible Device is due to water (i.e. Eligible Device falling in water or any damage caused due to the effect of water).
- 8.2.
Any damage caused due to the use of the Eligible Device for a purpose which is not originally intended.
- 8.3.
If the Eligible Device is opened by the Customer a person designated by the Customer (e.g. third party service provider) exposing the internal hardware.
- 8.4.
Any breach of the Apple Warranty, which the Customer agreed to at the time of purchase.
- 8.5.
A covered Product with the serial number, part number, proof of purchase, warranty certificate and or E-Certificate that has been altered, defaced, destroyed and or duplicated.
- 8.6.
A covered Product with removed and or altered serial numbers and part number
- 8.7.
To consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
- 8.8.
Any damage or loss caused by including without limitation by earthquake, volcanic eruptions, tsunami.
- 8.9.
Any damage or loss caused by war, riots or uprising.
- 8.10.
Any damage or loss caused by the execution of legal rights by national or public bodies or any third party, seizure, requisition, and confiscation.
- 8.11.
Any damage or loss caused by nuclear fuel substances or radioactivity.
- 8.12.
Any damage or loss caused by computer viruses or any defect or any error in any software used upon or in association with the Covered Product.
- 8.13.
Any damage or loss caused by wear and tear to cables, cord assembly, battery packs, display panels, adaptors, covers, buttons, speakers, computer keyboards and mouse.
- 8.14.
Any damage or loss of Peripheral equipment or components that do not have independent functions. This includes, without limitation, equipment or components worn out through the use of the Covered Product and the accessories bundled or purchased separately with the Product (including Battery/Charger/Earphone).
- 8.15.
Any damage or loss caused by neglect, misuse, abuse, improper installation, improper usage or wrong electrical supply/voltage or failure to operate the Covered Product in accordance with the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the Covered Product.
- 8.16.
Any damage or loss caused by voltage converter and or applying incorrect voltage to the Covered Product.
- 8.17.
Any damage of the Covered Product resulting from over running, excessive pressure, short circuiting, self-heating, arching or leakage of electricity (Electrical Damages)
- 8.18.
Any damage of the Covered Product resulting from explosion or machinery breakdown
- 8.19.
Any damage by fire, theft, burglary, neglect, misuse, or abuse. Acts of god including but not limited to earthquake, storm or tempest (wind), sand, water, flood, rising water, lightning, malicious damage, aircraft, vehicle impact, corrosion, battery leakage, power outages or surges, inadequate or improper voltage, or current, animal or insect infestation
- 8.20.
Appearance or structural items, such as housing, case or frame, decorative parts or parts designated to be replaced periodically during life of the Covered Product, add‐on items, accessories or attachments, external wiring and cabling, battery chargers, racks, bins, knobs, handles, antennas, remote control; or
- 8.21.
Any software programs, whether provided with the Covered Product and or installed subsequently. Any technical or other support, such as assistance with "how-to" questions and those regarding product set‐up and installation.
- 8.22.
Any Covered Product that is inoperable due to unauthorised modifications or has failed due to catastrophic damage, such as the covered product separating into multiple pieces, are ineligible for service.
- 8.23.
To cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, and broken plastic on ports unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship
- 8.24.
In the event of a damage to the Eligible Device, the Customer may visit the Authorised Service Centre. The Customer will be required to hand over the Eligible Device to the Service Executive. The Service Executive will conduct the following checks post receipt of the Eligible Device:
- 8.24.1.
Assessment whether the device is an Eligible Device. For the sake of clarity, the Service Executive will assess whether the Customer has availed Extended Warranty with respect to the Device.
- 8.24.2.
The Maximum Eligible Amount with respect to the Eligible Device.
- 8.24.3.
Assessment of the damage.
- 8.24.4.
System check to assess the cause of damage including whether damage has been caused due to water.
- 8.24.5.
The amount payable for repairing the damage including the amount payable post adjustment of the Maximum Eligible Amount.

In the event of a dispute between the Customer and the Company regarding the findings of the inspection under S.No. 5, decision of the Company shall be binding on the Customer.
- 10.
The Extended Warranty shall be transferable. However, the Customer shall be required to inform the Company regarding the transfer of the Eligible Device and consequently the Extended Warranty, prior to the date when the Customer reaches the Company service centre for repair. Customer shall ensure that the person in whose name is the Extended Warranty is the same person who owns the Eligible Device.
- 11.
The service may entail the replacement of parts and components. In this case, the Company shall be charging a price based on the depreciated value of the parts and component removed, when calculated from the date of purchase.
- 12.
Disputes, if any, under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in the city where the concerned service centre where the Customer has submitted his Eligible Device for repair.
- 13.
These Terms shall be read along with the Apple terms, to the extent these Terms are not inconsistent with the Apple terms.
